This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the ExpoRadar website, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect and why

When you contact us

When you email us, we collect your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, such as the trade show you are attending. We use this to respond to you and to prepare the pre-show analysis you request. Legal basis: the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Server logs

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of access, in order to deliver the site securely and reliably. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Personal data in the reports we produce

To prepare a pre-show analysis, we collect and process limited professional information about people who work at the exhibiting companies relevant to your request. This typically includes names, job titles, employer, and business contact details such as a work email address, where available.

Sources. We obtain this information from publicly available sources and from third-party providers of business data. We do not bypass logins, access private accounts, or circumvent technical access controls.

Why and on what basis. We process this data to compile the report you order. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest, and that of our customer, in business-to-business outreach and sales preparation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because we collect this data from sources other than the individual, we provide this notice in accordance with Art. 14 GDPR.

Who receives it. The report containing this information is delivered only to the customer who ordered it, for their own internal business use. We do not publish a public directory of these individuals, and we do not sell this data.

Your rights if you appear in a report. If you are an individual whose details we have processed for a report, you may object to this processing and ask us to remove your information from future reports at any time. Email [email protected] with the details you want removed, and we will block your information from appearing in future analyses. You also have the rights described in the "Your rights" section below.

4. Hosting

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare may process technical connection data as described above. Data transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

5. Email you send us

Email you send to our domain is forwarded to our inbox. We use it only to respond to you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your message to target advertising to you.

6. Service providers

We use a limited number of third-party service providers to help us operate the service and prepare reports, including hosting and infrastructure providers and AI and data providers. These providers process data only on our behalf, under contract, and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us. Where a provider is located outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Where we use AI providers, they process data only to perform our request, and we do not permit data you provide, or the contents of your report, to be used to train their general-purpose models, where that option is offered.

7. Fonts

This site uses the Inter typeface, served from our own server. Font files are not loaded from Google or any other third party, so no data is transmitted to external font providers when you visit.

8. Website analytics and advertising measurement

With your statistics consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which sources bring visitors to this website, which pages they view, and whether they click through to create an account. Google processes browser and device information, page interactions, referral information and cookie identifiers. A signup-button click does not tell us whether an account was created or a purchase completed in the app.

With your marketing consent, we use the Google Ads tag to measure advertising activity. It may process advertising identifiers, page visits and technical connection information. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization in our website tag configuration. Google tags are not loaded before the relevant consent.

These services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Processing may involve transfers outside the EEA, including to the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google's data processing terms for processing and transfer safeguards. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, for optional storage or access on your device, Section 25(1) TDDDG.

9. Cookies and your choices

Cookiebot manages statistics and marketing choices in one banner. You may accept both, reject optional cookies, or choose individual categories. Use Cookie settings on any page to change or withdraw your consent. Withdrawal stops the affected website tracking and removes accessible related Google cookies; the page reloads to apply the change. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it was withdrawn.

Cookiebot processes technical connection information and records your consent choice, date, browser information and consent identifier to remember and document your decision. Its consent cookie and consent records are retained for up to 12 months. This necessary consent management supports our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR); necessary device storage falls under Section 25(2) TDDDG. Details are available in Cookiebot's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics cookies distinguish visits and sessions. We configure their lifetime to one year, refreshed with consented use. Google Ads may also set advertising measurement cookies. The Cookiebot banner provides cookie details from the website scan. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from browsing the website or creating an account.

10. Data retention

We keep the data you send us for as long as needed to handle your request and to meet any legal retention obligations, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
• have your data deleted (Art. 17);
• restrict processing (Art. 18);
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
• withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.

12. Right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work or where you believe your rights have been infringed.
